With a 300lb weight limit for competitors not using traditional means of locomotion in that event, Snake was lighter than in its televised BattleBots appearance. Snake had previously competed in the 1997 US Robot Wars event where it was beaten by Scorpion. Despite defeating Anubis, Snake's unorthodox design and lack of maneuvrability was its downfall in the Round of 16 against War Machine, and Snake was eliminated. ![]() Snake entered the superheavyweight division of Season 2.0, with Mark Setrakian now joined by Team Sinister's Pete Abrahamson. Snake was armed with two main weapons: three large steel jaws at the front and a drill weapon at the rear. The robot did not use wheels or tracks for locomotion, with different segments of its body instead being individually powered to allow for its entire length to twist and maneuvre. It was an unique and unusual robot which, as its name suggested, resembled a large, robotic snake.
